Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Social Media Marketing Manager based in Toronto, ON, with flexibility for some remote work. The Social Media Marketing Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing social media strategies to enhance brand visibility, managing daily social media content, analyzing and reporting campaign metrics, and engaging with the online community.

We’re hiring a hands-on Social Media Manager to own our company’s social presence and run content for a rotating set of local-business pilot accounts across multiple social media platforms. You’ll plan, produce, publish, and measure. Work directly with the founders to shape how we show up to thousands of local business owners.

• Own end-to-end social strategy for our brand and a small portfolio of local-business pilots across Instagram, Facebook, short-form video, and Google Business Profile
• Research what local customers in each vertical are searching, asking, and responding to — and translate those signals into weekly content plans
• Write captions, scripts, hooks, carousel copy, and creative briefs; produce simple graphics and short-form video (Canva, CapCut)
• Schedule, publish, and moderate comments and DMs in the brand voice
• Track reach, saves, shares, profile visits, and lead attribution weekly; propose what to double down on, kill, or test next
• Document your workflow in plain language – briefs, templates, SOPs – so the process scales as the team grows

What we’re looking for

• 3-6 years in social media management, with meaningful time at an agency or managing multiple local-business / SMB accounts
• Strong portfolio across Instagram, Facebook, and short-form video, ideally with work in restaurants, beauty, wellness, or home services
• Confident writer with a distinctive voice – can move from a restaurant’s menu drop to a contractor’s lead-gen post without losing the thread
• Fluent in the execution stack: Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite, one scheduling tool. You don’t need a designer to ship a post
• Comfortable reading Instagram Insights, Meta analytics, and Google Business Profile insights, and explaining what matters to a non-technical owner
• Self-directed and calm in an early-stage environment where the playbook isn’t written yet

Good to have

• Experience running social for 3+ verticals (restaurants, beauty/salon, wellness, home services)
• Hands-on with Google Business Profile as a marketing surface – posts, updates, Q&A
• You can shoot, cut, and publish a Reel end-to-end in under two hours
• You know how to talk to a busy owner-operator at 9pm

Logistics

• Full-time. GTA preferred. Remote within Canada considered for the right fit.
• Compensation: CA$70K-CA$95K base + meaningful early-stage equity, commensurate with experience.
• Start date flexible, within 6 weeks of offer.
