No prior experience is required—we’re looking for individuals with great communication and customer service skills who are eager to learn the trade! As a Drain Technician, you’ll evaluate customer needs, provide repair options, and perform drain cleaning services. You’ll have the chance to work both independently and as part of a supportive team. We value good communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
Requirements
- Experience in drain cleaning, plumbing, or related field preferred
- Valid plumbing apprenticeship required, may be obtained upon hire
- Knowledge of residential and/or commercial sewer systems preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Must meet company motor vehicle record (MVR) eligibility requirements
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and clear drain blockages using cable machines, hydro-jetters, & other equipment
- Perform sewer camera inspections to identify issues such as breaks, roots, or bellies
- Repair or replace drain and sewer lines as needed (minor repairs or assisting with larger excavations)
- Locate sewer and water lines using locating equipment
- Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring understanding of system operation and any necessary maintenance
- Identify opportunities to offer additional services, upgrades, or preventative maintenance
- Consistently meet or exceed assigned daily, weekly, or monthly performance goals
- Fulfill on-call duties according to the department schedule
- Accurately record work performed, materials used, and hours worked
- Safely operate and maintain assigned company vehicle and equipment
