Primary Job Title: Technical Delivery Scrum Master

Location: Toronto, ON

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — 4 days per month on-site in Toronto (with expansion to Vancouver; Vancouver-based candidates also considered)

Contract Details:

• Position Type: Contract to Hire
• Start: Transition to FTE occurring at 12-month mark
• Pay Rate: $70.00–$100.00 / Hour (USD)

About the Role: We are hiring a Technical Delivery Scrum Master to support the delivery of complex software and digital platform initiatives within a consulting environment. This role goes beyond traditional Scrum facilitation and requires strong familiarity with software development lifecycles, application delivery, and technical product builds. You will partner closely with engineering teams, product owners, architects, and client stakeholders to drive predictable Agile delivery across data, cloud, analytics, and digital application initiatives. This role requires a Scrum leader who understands the realities of technical delivery and can effectively bridge engineering execution and stakeholder outcomes. Experience in data platforms, reporting solutions, Power BI, AI-enabled analytics, or digital platform configuration is a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Agile Delivery Leadership

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Partner with Product Owners and technical leads to translate business requirements into well-structured user stories and technical tasks
• Maintain and manage the product backlog with a focus on engineering clarity and delivery readiness
• Track sprint performance metrics including velocity, burn-down, throughput, and capacity planning
• Identify and remove delivery impediments impacting engineering teams

Technical Delivery Coordination

• Support delivery across software development, application build, and digital product initiatives
• Work closely with engineering teams across data, cloud, analytics, and platform configuration workstreams
• Ensure Agile practices align with SDLC processes, release cycles, and technical architecture dependencies
• Help coordinate integration points across APIs, data pipelines, reporting layers, and front-end applications
• Maintain visibility into delivery risks, dependencies, and technical blockers

Stakeholder & Team Enablement

• Serve as the coordination point between engineering teams, product owners, QA, and business stakeholders
• Support delivery transparency through sprint reporting, release updates, and executive-ready summaries
• Encourage continuous improvement across engineering team workflows
• Help maintain alignment between Agile delivery practices and broader program goals

Required Qualifications:

• 4–7 years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting technical or engineering teams
• Experience delivering software development, application build, or digital product initiatives
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) within technical environments
• Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and release management practices
• Experience using Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
• Ability to work closely with software engineers, data engineers, and technical architects
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification: CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent
• Experience supporting data engineering, cloud platforms, or analytics solutions
• Familiarity with Power BI, reporting platforms, AI/ML initiatives, or data pipelines
• Experience working in consulting or client-facing delivery environments
• Experience with distributed or multi-geography teams

Domain Experience Preferred (but not a requirement):

• Healthcare technology, digital health platforms, or patient services ecosystems
• Data and analytics platforms, including business intelligence and enterprise reporting environments
• AI/ML-enabled solutions, advanced analytics, or data science–driven product development
• Cloud-based application delivery and modern engineering environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI or enterprise reporting platforms
• Consulting or client-facing delivery environments supporting complex technology implementations
