ABOUT THE GREEN PARTY OF ONTARIO (GPO)
The GPO became an officially registered party in 1983 and has been growing ever since. Our vision for Ontario is focused on: More Affordable Homes and Communities, Creating Good Green Jobs, Protecting the People and Places We Love, and Making Life More Affordable. Working together, we can build a better province.
POSITION SUMMARY
The GPO has an exciting opportunity to build for growth before the next election, to expand vision and impact, and set the foundation for successful campaigns to elect Ontario Green candidates across the province. To deliver on this vision, the ED seeks a Senior Director of Business Operations (SDBO) to serve as their primary partner in leading the accounting/financial and operational and regulatory functions of the organization and translating plans into action over the coming years.
The SDBO will have responsibility for hands-on controller-level accounting, operational systems, and Elections Ontario filing and compliance oversight within the organization. Supported by an accounting clerk, they will oversee administrative, HR, technical operations, and organizational alignment. Working closely with the ED, they will help ensure that there are well-functioning and values-led operations across people & culture, finance, risk, policy, and organizational infrastructure.
This role is well suited to a business leader with strong people skills who is comfortable operating at the intersection of accounting, operations, and mission alignment, and who brings clarity rather than complexity to decision-making
