Job Description

As a Security Officer Field Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with a caring, agile, and reliable approach, working as part of a team that values innovation and integrity.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, restricted zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and report unauthorized persons, vehicles, or suspicious behavior according to site protocols.
• Support site operations by completing routine reports, noting maintenance or environmental concerns, and assisting with traffic control, emergency evacuations, and/or other security-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
