Scrum Master (Payments) Full Time

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Scrum Master supporting the US Cash & Payments platform development. This position involves coordinating multiple streams within a hybrid Agile and waterfall environment, working closely with external vendors to ensure seamless delivery of critical banking and payments functionalities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies across 4-5 streams, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Coordinate between cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment
• Support the delivery of payment solutions such as SWIFT, Fedwire, ACH, EFT, and cross-border transactions
• Manage dependencies and risks within hybrid delivery models, balancing Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Promote Agile best practices while adapting to client-specific delivery processes
• Track and report on project progress, impediments, and team performance
• Assist in backlog management and iteration planning for multiple teams
• Support end-to-end payments lifecycle understanding, including client onboarding, fraud validation, sanctions screening, and reconciliation

Desired Skill-Set

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master supporting payments or banking projects
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, particularly SAFE, in hybrid environments
• Excellent stakeholder and vendor coordination skills
• Deep understanding of payments processing, including SWIFT, Fedwire, ACH, EFT, and related operations
• Ability to facilitate communication among cross-functional teams spanning business, technical, and vendor stakeholders
• Familiarity with payments lifecycle, client onboarding workflows, and operational risk points
• Prior experience with financial institutions in Canadian or US banking sectors

Nice to Have

• Experience working with payments domain-specific regulations and compliance requirements
• Background in banking environments supporting US clients
• Knowledge of automation tools and AI support in project workflows
• Certification in Scrum, SAFe, or similar frameworks
