Position Overview
Our client is seeking several temporary Records Review Clerks to assist with a records review project at their Victoria office.
The successful candidates will be responsible for reviewing records received from offsite storage and following established procedures to verify that documents meet approved destruction criteria. This is an entry-level clerical position that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to follow documented processes accurately.
Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Must be based in Victoria BC
- Receive and organize records delivered from offsite storage providers
- Review files against established destruction and retention criteria
- Follow documented procedures and checklists to verify eligibility for destruction
- Maintain accurate tracking records and documentation
- Identify and escalate discrepancies or exceptions
- Assist with filing, sorting, organizing, and handling physical records
- Support backlog reduction efforts within the records team
Key Requirements (Must-Have)
- college or univerisaty studnets are preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately review large volumes of records and documentation
- Ability to follow established procedures, checklists, and written instructions consistently
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Comfortable performing repetitive administrative and records review tasks with a high level of accuracy
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently after training
- Ability to work onsite full-time at the Victoria (Quadra) office for the duration of the contract
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Post-secondary students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
