About The Position

This is a regualr part-time support staff Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Manager, BPRC, working 24 hours per week at an hourly rate of $38.61

Research Technologist – Water and Wastewater will work at research project partner locations with position based fully in London, Ontario. Research Technologist Water and Wastewater provides technical expertise of a specialized nature to applied research projects, administrative areas and students methods required to meet research needs in water and wastewater. Area of focus in water and wastewater with experience in water treatment facilities.

This position will work on site at 1141 Hanmilton Rd. London ON (Pottersburg Wastewater Treatment Plant)

Specific Accountabilities

• Plans, organizes and conducts experiments and demonstrations explaining correct procedures and theoretical principles involved.
• Evaluates equipment and other resources and makes recommendations
• Supports students and displays proper techniques
• Creation of new procedures and past practices for new situations and/or problems.

Qualifications

• Three year Community College diploma, or a three year undergraduate University degree in Chemisty, Biology, Water or equivalent
• Up to five years of practical experience in water and wastewater with experience in water treatment facilities
• Successful candidate is required to meet Lambton College Research & Innovation Wastewater Vaccination Procedure requirements to operate safely in wastewater environment
