Multimedia Journalist Full Time

The Role

Baxter Media is hiring a Multimedia Journalist who can create compelling stories that include written, video and social content. You’ll work closely with editors, designers and our social team to turn ideas into engaging stories, interviews and event coverage. This is a role where your positive attitude, adaptability and storytelling skills will shine. This role is Hybrid and applicants must be located in the Toronto area.

What You’ll Do

• Research, report and write stories for print, digital and social media
• Conduct interviews with industry professionals and senior executives
• Shoot and edit video content for social platforms and on-camera interviews
• Cover industry events, including evening assignments
• Represent the company professionally on press trips
• Collaborate with the team to ensure stories are timely, relevant and engaging
• Maintain and grow industry contacts and sources

What You’ll Bring To The Table

• Experience in journalism, business writing, or a related field
• Strong writing, reporting, and interviewing skills
• Experience with video creation and social media content
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Commitment to travel and attend events as needed
