Role Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Materials & Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for the end-to-end execution and control of raw materials from receiving through storage, internal movements, and staging to production. This role owns the organization and accuracy of the raw material warehouse, ensures timely and compliant receipt/transaction processing, and maintains complete and on-time documentation to support production, quality, and traceability. The role leads a small team (1–2 direct reports, including Receiver and Product Stagers as applicable) and partners closely with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Planning to ensure materials are available, identifiable, and ready ahead of schedule. This role does not own purchasing/PO placement; it ensures materials are received, transacted, stored, and staged accurately and on time once orders are placed.
Position Responsibilities:
· Lead receiving, warehousing, and staging operations: Own day-to-day performance for raw material receiving, put-away, storage locations, replenishment, and staging of materials/products ahead of production needs.
· People leadership: Train, schedule, coach, and support 12 direct reports (Receiver and Product Stagers as applicable); assign daily work, set priorities, and ensure safe work practices.
· Inventory accuracy & control: Maintain accurate inventory records and location control; execute cycle counts and support physical inventories; investigate variances and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
· Production readiness: Coordinate with Production/Planning to stage the right materials in the right quantities at the right time; manage internal transfers and replenishment to minimize line stoppages and material shortages (execution-focused; no purchasing ownership).
· Documentation, systems & compliance: Ensure all receiving, labeling, lot tracking, COAs/related documents, and ERP transactions are completed accurately and on time; maintain GMP/housekeeping standards; support audits and traceability requirements in partnership with Quality.
