Job Purpose

The Logistics Analyst supports procurement and logistics operations through data tracking, cost analysis, vendor coordination, and process improvement, helping ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective supply chain performance.

What You’ll Do

• Facilitate and support procurement activities throughout the purchasing lifecycle
• Enter, track, and maintain procurement and logistics-related documentation and records
• Audit purchase orders to ensure accurate pricing, freight charges, delivery dates, and required approvals
• Track, analyze, and report freight costs and identify opportunities for cost savings
• Identify discrepancies in orders, pricing, or shipments and resolve issues proactively
• Initiate and manage vendor claims in coordination with the procurement team
• Assist with preparing bid specifications, requests for proposals, and analyzing vendor quotes
• Maintain purchasing logs, vendor records, and supplier performance information
• Support supplier identification and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Monitor procurement cycles to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with requirements
• Liaise with internal departments and vendors regarding purchasing needs and logistics updates
• Provide support to logistics leadership, including reporting and administrative coordination

Who You Are

• 1–3 years of experience in logistics, procurement, supply chain, or high-volume administrative environments
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to track costs, identify discrepancies, and improve processes
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines
• Experience with freight costing, procurement records, or vendor coordination
• Strong communication and negotiation skills when working with suppliers
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in documentation and reporting
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or scrap/commodities environments is an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
