Role
Agilitek is seeking a full-time Business Intelligence Developer to join our Data Services team. While the team is primarily based in Vancouver Canada, remote candidates from anywhere in Canada will be considered.
Description
The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for tasks such as data modeling, creating reports and dashboards. The successful candidate must be skilled at tools like dbt, various flavors of SQL, and concepts and best practices in medallion architecture, query optimization and data analysis. We are seeking someone skilled at transforming and blending data into structures that are conducive to extracting meaningful business insights. As a member of the Data Services Team, you will serve both internal and external customers, at times working as an extension of our customer’s BI staff to deliver analytics and data modelling support in our customer’s database environments, while at other times working on our Fan Data Platform product to enhance how it delivers general data solutions across all customers.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in database developer, BI developer, and analytics roles
- Data Modeling and Data Warehousing skills
- Strong command of SQL, and proven experience with designing and implementing dbt models
- Excellent understanding of data structures and database management systems, such as, but not limited to, Snowflake, PostgreSQL and AzureSQL
- Comfortable using Tableau, PowerBI, and/or other data visualization tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Tenacious attention to detail
- A self-starter with a passion for continuous learning
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Experience with Databricks is a bonus
- Industry experience in sports and entertainment ticketing data is a bonus
