Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Unarmed Part Time  in Woodland Hills, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

DayTimeSat07:00 AM – 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities appropriate for a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assist with crowd and line management, and document daily activities, incidents, and observations in required reports.
• Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and employee activity, addressing suspicious behavior in accordance with post orders, and communicating security-related issues to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• This is a primarily driving post.
• A handcuffing certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• A pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
