Business Analyst – Data & Analytics (Contract)
📍 West End Toronto | Hybrid (3 days/week onsite)
🕒 6‑month contract | Start ASAP
We’re seeking a Business Analyst to support data and analytics initiatives, working closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into actionable insights. This role has a strong focus on data projects and Power BI–driven reporting.
What You’ll Do
- Elicit, document, and refine business and data requirements
- Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting needs
- Support the design and validation of Power BI dashboards and reports
- Work with data, BI, and engineering teams on analytics initiatives
- Perform data analysis to support insights, decision-making, and reporting
- Create functional specs, user stories, and process documentation
- Assist with UAT, data validation, and change management
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on data or analytics projects
- Hands-on experience with Power BI (requirements, validation, or development)
- Strong understanding of data concepts, SQL, and BI reporting
- Experience working with data platforms, warehouses, or lakehouse solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comfortable working in hybrid, fast-paced environments
