Junior Systems Administrator Full Time

Job Description

PictureShop Vancouver is looking for a junior to intermediate systems administrator to help with a busy postproduction office. The responsibilities of this position are diverse and involve many areas of the organization’s technology systems. This position will work under the Director of Engineering and support the daily operation of the production environment, operators and clients as needed and work to push the company’s technology and processes forward. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Help Desk 
• Assist internal and external clients and users with helpdesk matters (i.e. troubleshooting log in, email, printer, keyboard, mouse,tablets, and monitor issues) and properly follow escalationproceduresto resolve issues in a timely manner. 
• Networking 
• Troubleshoots issues involved with administering and maintaining corporate infrastructure, including network connectivity,WiFi, internet access, email, etc. 
• Systems 
• Assist in supporting corporate applications, internal corporate servers, user desktops, etc. 
• Install and maintain system software and components.
• Manageuser, groupandsharedaccountsthrough Active Directory, Azure and Microsoft Admin Tools.
• Administer servers running Windows and various Linux distros.

Required Skills and Experience: 

• Proficient at Windows, Mac and Linux desktop support, including Outlook email exchange and Microsoft Office
• Experience with Active Directory and Azure administration
• Troubleshooting skills using both proactive and reactive methodologies to provide seamless system availability
• Ability to multi-task and perform duties quickly and accurately
• Detail-oriented with excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills 
• Must possess a “can-do” team player attitude

Nice to have Skills and Experience: 

• Storage experience including SAN and NASenvironmentsand associated protocols
• Server and virtual environments,Promox, VMware etc
• Network protocols and security
• Scripting and coding languages like bash and Python
• License server and database administration
