Job Title: Electrical Helper

Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Helper to assist licensed electricians with commercial electrical installations. You will help organize and maintain tools, equipment, and materials, run conduit under supervision, assist in pulling wire and cable through conduit, support installation of electrical boxes, lighting fixtures, outlets, and switches, and perform grounding and bonding tasks. Basic measuring, cutting, drilling, and fastening tasks will also be part of your duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with commercial electrical installations.
• Organize and maintain tools, equipment, and materials.
• Help run conduit (EMT, PVC, rigid) under supervision.
• Assist with pulling wire and cable through conduit.
• Support installation of electrical boxes, lighting fixtures, outlets, and switches.
• Help with grounding and bonding tasks.
• Perform basic measuring, cutting, drilling, and fastening.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in operating a hand drill.
• Able to read a tape measurer.
• Reliable self-transportation to drive to jobsites every day.
• Comfortable with a drill.
• Valid driver’s license.

Work Environment

Our standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with optional overtime on Saturdays. We believe in work-life balance and do not push overtime. Will be working commercial and residential projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 – $18.00/hr.
