Head of Computer Science – The Role
A secondary school in Minster is seeking to appoint a committed and knowledgeable Head of Computer Science to lead the department on a temporary basis from September. The successful candidate will teach Computer Science across KS3, KS4 and KS5, while also providing clear strategic leadership for the subject area. Responsibilities will include curriculum planning, assessment design, monitoring student progress, and ensuring consistently high-quality teaching and learning across the department. In addition, the role involves supporting and mentoring staff, developing and refining schemes of work, and driving continued improvement in key areas such as programming, algorithms, data representation, computer systems, and computational thinking.
