Volunteer Role Description

This is a Board of Directors, volunteering opportunity: Director of Marketing Communications based in Oakville, ON. The Director will develop and manage effective marketing strategies to enhance the brand presence of Crusaders Rugby Club. Responsibilities include crafting compelling messaging, managing media relations, creating and distributing press releases, and overseeing public relations campaigns to engage and inform stakeholders. The successful candidate will also collaborate with leadership to execute innovative campaigns that align with the club’s mission, and build partnerships with community stakeholders to support the club’s growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in Marketing Communications and Marketing, with a track record of driving impactful campaigns.
• Strong skills in crafting Press Releases and managing Media Relations effectively.
• Proficiency and expertise in Public Relations, with the ability to manage external communications, partnerships, and crisis management.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, alongside organizational and project management capabilities.
• Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for marketing and communication initiatives.
• Leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Passion for sports, community engagement, and the values of teamwork, respect, and integrity is an asset.
• A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred.
