*Company Overview:* Moore commercials, specialising in used HGV vehicles sales with over 200 vehicles in stock and selling 600 vehicles a year.
*Position Overview:*
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicle) Mechanic to join our team, focusing on preparing vehicles for sale in our used sales department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our vehicles are in optimal condition for sale, diagnosing and repairing any faults, and conducting thorough inspections to meet our quality standards.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Prepare vehicles for sale by conducting thorough inspections and ensuring they meet quality standards.
* Diagnose faults with vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Repair vehicles efficiently and effectively, addressing any mechanical issues.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
* Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
* Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
*Qualifications:*
* Strong mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge of vehicle systems, particularly HGVs.
* Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to find effective solutions to mechanical problems.
* Attention to detail and ability to work with precision to ensure the quality of repairs.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
*Additional Requirements:*
* Valid driver’s license.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in vehicle mechanics.
* Previous experience working as an HGV mechanic or similar role is preferred.
* Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
* Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
