Estates Services supports the University’s world-class teaching and research by ensuring that its buildings and facilities are safe, efficient, and welcoming. The Facilities Management team plays a key role in delivering high-quality services across University Administration and Services (UAS) buildings, helping staff and students work in environments that support collaboration and success.

About the role
As a Facilities Support Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operation of the building by carrying out a variety of practical and customer-facing tasks.
Your responsibilities will include routine building checks, minor DIY maintenance tasks, reporting faults through estates systems, and assisting with room setups for meetings and events. You may also support basic security duties such as opening and locking buildings, and help maintain shared areas including kitchens, toilets, and external spaces.
This is a varied role where flexibility and teamwork are important. Training will be provided, including areas such as first aid, manual handling, safety procedures, and the use of University systems.
