About The Position
Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a qualified and experienced Class A Driver to join our Transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials using Walking Floor trailers. This role requires a Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) and a strong commitment to safety and compliance with transportation regulations. The Walking Floor Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and secure deliveries while upholding our commitment to environmental sustainability.
Requirements
- Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (REQUIRED) with endorsements (preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Class A Driver, with a focus on Walking Floor trailer operations (REQUIRED)
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Demonstrated reliability and a commitment to meeting delivery deadlines
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and logbook requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Walking Floor Trailers to transport materials to designated locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe transportation.
- Inspect and maintain the condition of the Walking Floor Trailers, reporting any issues promptly.
- Load and unload materials in a secure and efficient manner, following proper procedures.
- Complete required paperwork, such as logbooks and delivery receipts, accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, and clients to ensure smooth transportation operations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the Walking Floor Trailers to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Follow established routes and schedules, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes.
- Adhere to environmental regulations and company guidelines for the proper disposal of materials.
