Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a critical clinical role supporting patient care as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. In this contract position, your expertise will directly support surgical teams and ensure high standards of patient safety and comfort throughout perioperative care.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract assignment (duration to be shared during interview)
- Hours and shift details provided upon interview
Qualifications / Required Experience:
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Proven experience as an Operating Room RN (circulating and/or scrub preferred)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control standards
- Ability to anticipate needs of surgeons and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances in the OR
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and immediately after surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to optimize patient outcomes
- Verify and prepare the operating room with the necessary surgical instruments and equipment
- Monitor patient status, document observations, and respond to emergencies appropriately
- Ensure strict adherence to established safety and sterilization protocols
- Support patient and family education regarding surgical procedures and recovery processes
