Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Associate, where you will play a crucial role in product preparation and assembly according to specifications. Your commitment to safety and quality will ensure compliance with HACCP-plan and food safety requirements, while maintaining an organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prep and assemble products to specification.
• Comply with HACCP-plan and food safety requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Ensure cases and pallets are configured safely and according to standards.
• Maintain scheduled production to meet team business goals.
• Maintain regular and consistent punctual attendance.
• Notify management of any potential food safety or quality issue.
• Deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
• Pay attention to detail.
• Understand written and verbal policies, guidelines, specifications, and safety standards.
• Work overtime as required, even on short notice.
• Work on a flexible schedule based on production needs.
• Possess basic math skills.
• Operate manual and automated processing equipment.
• Communicate to management when issues arise, whether work-related or personal.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Perform other duties as needed.

Essential Skills

• Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
• Attention to detail.
• Understanding of written and verbal policies, guidelines, specifications, and safety standards.
• Ability to work overtime as required, even on short notice.
• Basic math and English skills.
• Communication skills for notifying management of issues.
• Adherence to strict safety, food security, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

• General labor experience.
• Packaging and food production knowledge.
• Experience in food manufacturing and the food industry.
• Forklift operation skills.
• Experience in food handling and labeling.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting.

Work Environment

Work in a bakery environment where temperature varies from colder to warmer areas. Ensure you are comfortable working in a GMP environment and bring a jacket for colder conditions. Flexibility with hours is essential, as overtime may be required. Facility temperatures range from 40 to 60 degrees.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South San Francisco, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 – $21.00/hr.
