As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors and campus personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, parking areas, common spaces, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help to identify unauthorized persons, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, and document findings according to site procedures.
• Support campus operations during classes, events, and after-hours activity by providing directions, assisting with routine requests, and completing required reports on security-related incidents and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
