About The Position
DiningRD is seeking a Registered Dietitian for an Assisted Living Community. The consultant will be responsible for quarterly onsite visits (6 hours/visit) to complete food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and address nutrition referrals for high-risk residents. This role offers a flexible schedule and competitive pay. Requirements
- Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentials
- Licensed (if required by State)
- CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
- State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
- Enjoyment of coaching and mentoring others
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of consulting experience
- Experience in Long Term Care
- clinical nutrition: 2 years (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Complete quarterly onsite visits (6 hours/visit) to conduct food safety and sanitation audits.
- Perform meal/dining observation audits.
- Address nutrition referrals for high-risk residents.
- Ensure meals meet high nutritional standards.
- Work closely with the clinical team to monitor resident nutritional needs.
- Provide nutrition education.
- Work on MDS with the team.
- Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager.
- Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff.
- Assist with policy development.
- Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
