Overview of the Position:

The candidate will serve as a core member of the Clinical Research and Development team in providing management responsibility of several financial aspects of the Clinical Research Program. The candidate will work closely with the Head of Finance and Accounts to ensure effective and efficient deliverables of budget development, invoice payments, and contract execution. The ideal candidate will provide support to the Head of Clinical Research and Development in the growth of the department into the US. The position will require extensive interactions with the Clinical Research and Development management team and colleagues in the United States, United Arab Emirates, and India.

Responsibilities:

– In collaboration with the Head of Finance and Accounts, develop procedures and policies in support of the accounts and budget program;

– Develop systems for clinical research study budget monitoring and billing activities;

– Provide training for systems development in support of finance and accounting;

– Assist in development of a compliance and accounting system for all research-related financial activities;

– Coordinate with Clinical Project Manager(s), Project Coordinator(s) and the Head of Finance and Accounts in development of timelines for study budget development and billing of investigative sites, vendors, and other third parties;

– Assume responsibility of invoice reimbursements for clinical research programs;

– Provide monthly status reports of financial metrics and activities to the Clinical Project Manager, the Head of Clinical Research and Development and Designees;

– Reconciliation of invoices/payments against budgets;

– Coordinate additional clinical research budget and financial activities with the Head of Finance and Accounts in an ongoing manner;

– Provide support to the Clinical Project Manager, Head of Clinical Operations, and the Legal Department in the tracking and execution of Clinical Trial Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, and third-party service agreements;

– Provide clinical trial budget tracking and metrics updates to the Clinical Project Manager on a weekly basis.

– As required, participate in clinical trial status meetings;

– Support and assist the Clinical Project Manager in the development outsourcing agreements with third-party affiliates (i.e., Contract research organizations (CRO), Data Monitoring Committees, Advisory Board Members).

– Provide budget review and support of the US Clinical Operations.

– Work independently with little instruction for routine work.

Requirements/Qualifications:

– At least 5 years of financial and accounts management for a sponsor or CRO;

– Experience working in a global environment;

– Standard Operation Procedures development;

– Experience providing training to employees, consultants, and external collaborators for new procedures;

– Experience collaborating and interacting with internal and external partners from a variety of cultural backgrounds and geographic locations.

– Proficient with Windows Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat, and finance and accounting programs.

– Must be well-organized.

– Must have excellent verbal and written skills.

– Fluent in English.

o Additional languages are noteworthy but are not required.

– Some measure of flexibility will be necessary. Due to the international framework of the organization, there will be instances when meetings are scheduled during non-traditional business hours.

– The ideal candidate must be able to work independently but consistently.

– Productive personal interactions are critical to this role. Must have good inter-relationship skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
