ZX Lidars Hiring for Graduate Software Engineer Job at Ledbury, England Full Time

ZX Lidars pioneered the use of lidar in the wind industry over 10 years ago; today, lidar has become established as a valuable technique used in a wide variety of applications such as wind resource assessment, power performance testing and wind turbine control and optimisation.

We are offering a unique opportunity for a candidate in the early stages of their career to join a dynamic, cutting-edge industry as a Graduate Software Engineer in a growing team of talented and passionate professionals. You will work as part of a small team responsible for developing embedded and desktop software written primarily in C++ to support the growing ZX Lidars product base, internal calibration tools and data analysis software.

Duties to include:

Development

• Develop requirements, design and implement new software packages. Produce design documentation, manuals and processes to support as appropriate.
• Follow industry best practice for all software development and follow the ZX Lidars software development process.
• Deliver verified, proven software code and packages

Maintenance

• Investigate software and system issues as reported by other areas of the business, customers, resellers etc.
• Identify bugs, record on feature tracking software and propose fixes.

Support

• Assist customers and resellers in using ZX Lidars software.
• Provide diagnostic support for systems and software in field via remote support and where necessary, in-field visits.

Training, Coaching & Development

• Provide training in software art to other areas of the business.
• Provide training in ZX Lidars software packages to other areas of the business.
