Zurich Insurance Hiring for Senior Finance Systems Analyst – 18 month contract Job at North Sydney Full Time

As our Senior Finance Systems Analyst, you will be pivotal in supporting the technical integration and transition of the IFRS 17 project into Zurich SAP functionality. Working with the IFRS 17 project team, you will be representing the Finance Systems and Projects team as the local Subject Matter Expert. This role will interact with several stakeholders both internally and externally. You will liaise with the local Finance project team as well as Zurich IT teams locally, regionally, and globally.

A key aspect of your mandate will be to ensure all changes to finance processes are assessed, documented, tested, and integrated appropriately. Critical to this will be your ability to understand data flows and finance processes in a complex environment; assist with the specification on dataflow requirements; log change request for the SAP general ledger maintenance; map requirements for general ledger interfaces and support the project with all other SAP integration systems requirements. This is a very hands-on role.

In this challenging, varied and highly visible role, you’ll work with a variety of key stakeholders including project leads across the business, Global Finance and Group Finance.

You’ll have a strong accounting and finance systems background with tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. You will have experience working with SAP general ledger as well as experience with data analysis and maintaining and building inbound/outbound interfaces through general ledger systems. Additionally, your understanding of the complex data flows within the finance systems landscape at a large and diverse organisation will be valued. A distinct advantage will be your experience gained from within the Insurance industry, specifically within financial accounting/reporting with extensive knowledge of SAP systems. This is a pivotal role in our team and will best suit an individual who can think outside of the box and manage competing deadlines that all have critical business outcomes.
