Job Summary

This senior-level position leads all aspects of operations at our corporate headquarters, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality execution across all functions.

ing directly to the Vice President, Global Operations, the Senior Director of Operations plays a critical role in driving operational excellence and achieving strategic objectives.

Essential Functions

• Develop and implement long-range strategies.
• Define strategic direction for the site operations, aligning with company goals with particular emphasis on Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost, in that order.
• Develop, implement and execute annual operating plans and budgets.
• Continuously monitor performance against objectives and provide data-driven feedback.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Direct and manage department resources.
• Provide leadership and guidance to leaders overseeing key functional areas like receiving, replenishment, order fulfillment, returns processing, and performance measurement.
• Foster collaboration and communication amongst department leads to ensure seamless operations.
• Oversee performance evaluations and career development plans for direct s.
• Collaborate with 3PL partners and sales to ensure cost-efficient and timely delivery.
• Continuously research and implement new technologies and best practices to enhance operations.
• Foster a safe and positive work environment.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
• Promote open communication and address employee concerns effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a matrix leadership environment.
• Maintain close communication with executive and departmental leadership to align operational goals with overall business strategy.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments like finance, sales, and marketing to ensure smooth integration and support.
• Prepare and present monthly s on operational performance.
• Manage assigned budgets and resources effectively.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in operations management.

Required / Preferred Education and Experience

• BS technical field or equivalent required and
• Master’s Degree in business or technical field preferred
• 10+ years of experience in Operations, manufacturing, logistics and supply chain management, with progressively senior positions
• Experience supporting and developing emerging markets
• Experience in Medical Device or other highly regulated industry

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Proven track record of success in leading and optimizing operations at a senior level
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, build relationships, and communicate effectively
• In-depth knowledge of key supply chain / logistics processes and best practices
• Strong analytical, financial, and P&L skills
• Proficient with ERP and WMS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant technologies
• High sense of urgency and ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to manage 3PLs, freight companies, and other logistics suppliers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
