GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ziztel is a 10 year old manufacturing company of specialist telecoms and security products into the Oil & Gas and Defence industries. The primary role is keeping a record of all money in and out of the business. Additionally, to provide clear financial advice to business directors allowing them to make sound business decisions. The role will need a background of at least 5 years in a finance role and relevant qualifications. The person needs a good head for figures, attention to detail and the ability to provide clear management accounts with an appreciation of how the accounting function compliments the smooth running of the business. A strong character is needed to ensure the company is kept on target for customer invoicing and chasing payments.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Providing and interpreting financial information.
· Assembling and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends.
· Analysing change and advising accordingly.
· Formulating strategic and long-term business plans.
· Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance.
· Developing financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk.
· Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
· Managing the company’s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems.
· Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g., auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organisations such as HMRC.
· Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines.
· Managing budgets.
· Arranging new sources of finance for a company’s debt facilities.
· Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
· Ownership of the bookkeeping function.
· HR duties as required.
· Preparation and submission of payroll & pension.
· Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
· Preparation and submission of R&D claim.
· Developing Project Cost to complete models .
WORK EXPERIENCE/TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Required:
At least 5 years’ experience in similar role.
Demonstration of applicable IT skills.
Use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Communication skills.
Preferred:
Strong Character.
Certificates in Maths, English and IT discipline or relevant industry experience.
Training in Sage.
Finance related qualification to degree level.
