Zion Child Development Center Hiring for Teaching Assistant (TA) at Charleston, WV Full Time

• Assist other qualified staff members with the care and education of the child, but shall not have responsibility for a group of children.
• Work under the continuous supervision of a qualified staff member who qualifies, at minimum as a Assistant Teacher.
• Directly responsible to and under the supervision of the Director and the Teacher.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Be enrolled in the WVTCECE program or its equivalent after hire.
• Must pass a background and protective services check

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Assist teachers in programs and activities

2. Supervise children’s play as directed.

3. Prepare equipment and supplies

4. Watch over sleeping children

5. Serve meals and snacks
