Job Title: Part Time Production Specialist (16-24 hours/week)

Pay: $15.50/hour (+ depending upon experience) + bus fare $2.10 to factory (if taking public transportation)

Zimt is a fast growing startup company that sells delicious, healthy, and above all, ethical confections across Canada and in select US locations. To keep up with demand and to help grow the company, we need to add a long term, committed, hard-working, intelligent and independent person to our team. Your role will be to produce our core collection of chocolate bars, macaroons, drinking chocolate, and more. Your role may also expand as we diversify our products and change processes.

This position is offered on a trial basis and your pay will increase should you be assessed as chosen to proceed with the company, and over time, after your three month probation period. This role would best be suited for a high-energy individual- there’s always lots to do and the job can get pretty physical. If you hate being bored and watching the clock tick by at work- this position may be a good option for you!

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Have an eye for detail and can uphold a clean environment.

• Effectively communicating with co-workers

• Ensure product quality- from opening ingredients boxes to sealing it up again and everything in between

• Working quickly and efficiently, without losing attention to detail

• Meeting production metrics

• Valuing and upholding a clean work environment

• Learn and maintain knowledge of our company values

• Learn and maintain good knowledge of our products

• Maintain safety and security at all times

• Enthusiasm for our company values

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous product manufacturing experience

• Personal alignment with Zimt Chocolates’ vision, values, and team culture

• Ability to work in fast-paced and inter-functional team environments

• High standard of professionalism and attention to detail

• Eager to create positive and memorable product experiences for end consumers

• FoodSafe 1 is an asset

• Able to lift 50 lbs several times a day, as needed (we also have equipment to assist with this)

• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, mornings, and the occasional weekend
