ZEVIA PBC Hiring for Logistics Associate at Los Angeles, CA Full Time

The Logistics Associate will to the Manager, Logistics and will be a daily point of contact between brokers and carriers, operations, and customer service team, to identify needs, exceptions, and to find solutions within tight timelines. This role is responsible for tracking, ing and maintaining KPI logs for carriers and brokers; communicating with our warehouse and co-packing facilities on any delivery or shipping issues that occur. The Logistics Associate must be detailed oriented and collaborate with Customer Logistics Associates, ensuring on-time delivery of all outgoing shipments. This role works with the planning team on material deliveries within a very tight timeline and works on transfers from co-packing facilities to warehouse locations, ensuring customer deliveries are completed within the P.O. due dates.

• Recognize potential cost savings within the current freight market and seasonal rate changes.
• Act as a mentor and provide guidance to junior level team member(s).
• Establish and maintain relationships with freight partners and freight carrier network.
• Follow up daily with brokers, 3PL warehouses and suppliers to ensure timely shipment and delivery of goods.
• Work in conjunction with inventory, planning and customer service teams to ensure their freight needs are meet.
• Track and analyze “exceptions” to tendered loads and communicate with respective teams on recovery.
• Manage excel s for cost analysis, to include understanding of template formulas and ability to trouble shoot with advanced excel skills.
• Support Sr. Manager, Logistics in establishing and maintaining KPI’s/scorecards for all transportation providers.
• Handle all claims within the logistics channel and follow up with freight carriers in a timely manner for payment of claims.
• Use company ERP system (NetSuite) to confirm logistics information.
• Use TMS systems to track, update, and confirm load status.
• Reach out to carriers for quotes and document buying decisions.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proficient understanding of all levels of the freight tendering process and domestic shipping procedures.
• Advanced excel skills is a must.
• Thrives in a busy environment, can self-prioritize, and get it done.
• Has a passion for the natural products industry.

• Would be described as curious, looking for ways to improve the business.
• Ability to work overtime and/or flexible hours during peak seasons.

Preferred Education and Experience

• 2 to 4 years of experience in logistics in a similar capacity.
• BS/BA in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, or a relevant field, or 3-5 years of work experience in lieu of degree.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP systems (i.e., NetSuite) and Transportation Management Systems.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities at this time but may in the future.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Work Location

Full-time Exempt. Headquarter-based hybrid schedule 2-3 days per week or fully remote if outside Los Angeles County.
