Job Description

OVERVIEW

The Financial Accountant is responsible for various specific deliverables of day to day, month end, financial reporting and budget tasks that will need to be performed including: Financial Reporting, Accounting Compliance and Business Optimisation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The key accountabilities are, but not limited to:

Financial Reporting

• Completion, within deadlines, of all monthly financial services function in accordance with Publicis Groupe processes and policies.
• Manage Month End process and submission via HFM.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting, balance sheet review and analysis.
• Assist with the preparation of Annual budget and Rolling Forecast submissions, ensuring accurate financial forecasting and input into HFM.
• Client Profitability reporting
• Regularly review the WIP to ensure jobs are reconciled and closed.
• Liaise with SSC to ensure month end and other Groupe reporting functions are performed to the required standard.

Accounting Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Publicis Groupe operational and financial policies and processes as detailed in Janus.
• Assist with Internal, FMC and External Audits to ensure compliance and implement feedback into Company’s accounting practices.

Business Optimisation

• Actively looking for ways to streamline current processes and suggest improvements.
• Support the Senior Finance Manager on other continuous optimisation projects as required.

PERSONAL & TEAM ACCOUNTABILITIES

Actively develop and maintain strong working relationships with all personnel both at an interpersonal level and across all business processes within the wider business environment.

Actively maintain communication and behaviour standards that foster a culture of strong financial services.

KEY COMPETENCIES

Experience/Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years financial accounting experience with strong technical accounting knowledge
• Completion or working towards completion of CA/CPA qualification
• Previous experience working in a media agency / advertising agency

Skills (including technology)

• Spectra MD (Media System) preferred
• SAP (GL) / Hyperion (HFM) desirable
• Excel (intermediate level)
