Zahra Early Learning Centre has a vacancy for an Early Childhood Teacher. Our philosophy focuses on the community and believes that building meaningful relationships is key to providing quality care and education to children.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated early childhood professional wishing to join our organization with clear values and direction. We are a new, ready-to-grow a 44 places centre providing Long Day Childcare Service.

About the role

As an ECT, you will be responsible for creating our curriculum, build relationships with families and the community; and assist in recruiting and retention of high-quality educators in the team. The position currently is Part-time with the potential of being Full-time permanent, with allocated time for your responsibilities as the educational leader and on-floor learning with Children.

We are seeking a leader who understands that relationships are the basis of quality. This position will suit a highly passionate ECT who has strong  leadership capabilities, emotional intelligence, exceptional regulatory knowledge, and business development skills for early childhood programs. 

You must be able to think outside of the box in developing innovative programs that take into account all possibilities that will make this program the first choice for education and care needs for children 0-6 years in the community.

· You will display a commitment to promoting the profile of the Centre within the community through direct marking and provision of a quality program, with an understanding that reputation is key to becoming the “ program of choice” in the community.

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following selection criteria:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with current NESA Teacher Accreditation or working towards ECT

· Experience working in the Early years

· A minimum of 1-year experience in the role of an ECT

· Understanding and knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standard, and requirements of the current Child Protection Acts & the Education & Care Services National Law & Regulation

· Excellent relationship building and communication skills

· Current paid NSW Working with Children Check through the Office of the Children’s Guardian

· Current First Aid and CPR Certification

· Excellent verbal and written skills in communication with families and educators

· You will value, build, and maintain strong relationships with the team members, parents, children, and the wider community

· You must have a minimum of two professional referees

Salary: Up to $75,000.00 per year
