ZAC Recruitment Looking for Product Engineer at Runcorn, Borough of Halton Full Time

Our client are a leading manufacturer and supplier of architectural aluminium systems. Currently operating in North America and the UK with a growing presence in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. They are currently looking to recruit a Product Engineer based from their UK office in the North West Region.

Primary Purpose of the Job

The Product Engineer manages all aspects of product development including project management, engineering analysis, standards, specifications, testing, certification, statistical analysis, and manufacturing

The Product Engineer will work in a collaborative environment across several internal and external resources

The Product Engineer is the technical interface between EPD and the manufacturing environment

.   Major activities/Key challenges

Project manage new product development through design and implementation  

Provide guidance to new product development design 

Develop test plans to meet applicable standards

Communicate and coordinate with internal and external engineering resources

Support test unit installation, interpret test procedures, and understand test outcomes

Perform structural analysis utilizing engineering principals and softwares

Utilize project management principles and practices

Collaborate within a team environment toward a common goal

Essential Knowledge & Skills/Education

This position requires a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Science in Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering with the goal of obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license

Structural analysis, engineering principals, and simulation software

Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and Inventor

Qualifications

BS or BS Technology degree

Knowledge of statistical analysis and scientific methods for problem solving

Knowledge of standards and test methods

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Salaries are in the region of £55k + package.
