ZAAS Hiring for Press Engineer Manager Full Time

We are seeking a new Press Engineer Manager to join our Smyrna, TN, team! This position is responsible for establishing and overseeing manufacturing methods to ensure competitive and safe manufacturing of parts including continuous improvement of quality and workflow in a fast-pace, lean manufacturing facility, analyzing engineering designs, and developing layout of manufacturing areas to ensure the efficiency of production.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Track and manage Press Line Trial for new dies
• Die modification strategy for formability, quality, and other issues during L/T and MP
• Die modification strategy and schedule for design change implementation.
• Check tooling before shipping from Japan (Ability to Travel abroad)
• Provide feedback on die problems to design standards.
• Die modification for Press SPM UP activity.
• Plan and implement material Gorika activity.
• Plan and manage outsourced stampings.
• Cost Control (after die arrival, cost plan vs. actual)
• SPM/Quality-UP Projects
• Other projects as assigned supporting stamping manufacturing

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Must be familiar with GD & T concepts
• Strong mechanical, time management, and analytical skills
• Knowledge of material properties, mechanics of materials and material reaction when subject to varying stamping conditions
• Must be capable of working with peers, subordinates, supervisors, and management on a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to remain current with state-of-the-art technologies and practices related to the metal stamping process, as well as develop
• innovative solutions when necessary.
• Ability to use MS Office-Excel, Project Word
• Knowledge of CAD -Solid Work, AutoCAD

Educational And Experience

• B. S. Degree in Engineering Discipline, or equivalent experience (Preferred)
• 3-5 Years Experience in a Metal Manufacturing environment (Preferably Metal Stamping)

Pay: $107,182.00 – $113,099.00 per year
