Management Accountant

Yunex Traffic are looking for a Management accountant to work within the Finance Function with involvement in the financial processes including month end, contract price adjustments, reporting and communication of financial performance to management

You will partner with the Head of Operational Services and their management team to ensure that the Operational Services area operates within the financial procedures and policies of Yunex Traffic. To ensure completeness and accuracy of all financial related data in SAP and subsequent management and control reports. To control Working Capital through timely invoicing and the management of work in progress and the collection of debts. Ensuring compliance with Yunex Traffic Internal Control Guidelines.

What are my Responsibilities?
Management Accountant Activities

• Ensure budgets are prepared accurately and to relevant timescales, and that all levels operational management understand the targets set. (circa £3m Turnover)
• Partner with Head of Operational Services and their team to provide accurate monthly P&L forecasts.
• Perform month end routines and prepare month-end reporting.
• Produce the area’s management accounting pack including P&L accounts, and variance analysis and provide information to relevant managers to facilitate greater understanding of individual P&Ls
• Ensure management and control of Unbilled Contract Stock. Attend Consultancy Services UBCS meeting.
• Maintain effective control of all administration/invoicing to ensure invoices are raised at the earliest opportunity and that sales are taken in accordance with Siemens policies and appropriate accruals made against cost of sales.
• Ensure the Non Conformance Cost reporting and lessons learned are embedded.
• Ensure ICFR requirements adhered to within Operational Services
• Authorise/approve the purchase and payment of overhead costs charged to the area.
• Ensure the Signature Protocol is applied correctly within the team

• Provide liaison and assist with any related tasks that may be requested by the Central Finance function at Poole.
• Ownership of Debt Queries and liaise with credit control, Commercial Admin and operational teams to ensure resolution.
• Partner with local operational management
• Participate fully in Service Finance Group Meetings and contribute to ownership and delivery of strategy
• Effective use of IT tools and Reporting Models to drive improvement and efficiency in all Service Financial Processes.
• Constantly review your role and suggest ongoing business improvements and new, more effective ways of meeting your responsibilities.

What do I need to qualify for this role?

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or working towards
• Ability to take on responsibility / ownership for processes and actively drive towards results
• Ability to close month ends
• Experience of calculating contract price adjustments
• Working knowledge of SAP
