Ypeople Hiring for HR Business Partner – Part Time at Glasgow Full Time

Ypeople is recruiting for an HR Business Partner to join the People Team at our Head Office in Dava Street, Glasgow.

This role is on a part time basis for a period of 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave. The role also benefits from flexible working with a blend of office and home based working.

This is a strategic, consultative and coaching role and the HR Business Partner will work with managers and key stakeholders to help build organisational and people capability and help shape and implement effective people strategies and activities within the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of People the main duties will include:

• Promoting a positive and approachable image of the HR Department both internally and externally
• Working closely with the Leadership Team, Senior Managers and services to ensure that HR information can be used for operational decision making
• Undertaking a coaching role with our managers to raise awareness of people matters and increase their ability to lead people effectively
• Providing support and guidance to managers to discuss people challenges
• Managing the impact of HR practices to ensure they are appropriate and fit with wider organisational needs
• Support the development and maintenance of a performance management culture within Ypeople

Skills/Attributes required for the post:

• CIPD Qualified
• Knowledge of current legislation, policies and strategies relating to Employment Law
• Experience of developing plans and strategies for service delivery at an appropriate level
• Experience of report writing and production of management reports
• Experience of working in a third sector or not for profit organisation -not essential

Salary:

• SCP 34 – 38 (£31,945 – £35,381) pro rata 17.5 hours per week
• 12-month fixed term contract, will be reviewed within the 12-month period to determine if the role can become permanent
