Here’s what the job involves:

The Physical Education Teacher is responsible for working with youth to restore motor, social, & cognitive functioning. The position builds youth confidence, develops coping skills, and integrates skills learned in treatment settings into the community settings. Some examples of intervention modalities include creative arts, sports, adventure programming, dance/movement, and leisure education. Structured activities shall be provided during non-traditional hours to promote pro-social skills.

Training will be provided, but if you do have related experience and/or education, you may be eligible to start above entry-level.

To be considered, you should:

· Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect.

· Have a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or equivalent.

· Have a desire to work with troubled youth.

· Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
