Part of Young Foundations, Mirren Park School is an established independent special day school for children and young people aged 11 to 18 with a range of additional support needs. We require a Head of Education to lead the school in line with the current develop plan.

About The Role

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced and skilled teacher to lead the development of education in Mirren Park School and be part of the Young Foundations Senior Management Team. Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, this key role will have responsibility for leadership and management of the school and in developing wider education services in Scotland.

You will be highly motivated and have a genuine interest in developing the education young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours receive. You will have experience in a leadership role and evidence the passion and creativity required to lead the school and wider services towards excellence.

The Head of Education, as part of the senior management team, has a responsibility to work to achieve the vision of Mirren Park School, aligned with the wider development plan of Young Foundations. You will be supported in your role by our central services team with services including finance, IT, HR, Health & Safety and clinical specialists when required.

To meet the duties and responsibilities of the role, the Head of Education is required to have a flexible working approach including occasional evening and weekend work. You will be required to attend Regional and Central Operations meetings regularly, requiring travel and overnight stays.
