Job purpose

The Social Media Manager is responsible for the content marketing of all things You42. You will be creating and executing a strategy for You42’s social media to help grow a highly-engaged audience across all our social media channels. You will be tasked with the day-to-day management of our social media channels, generating posts, shares, and user engagement.

As the social ambassador for our platform, you will work with the Marketing Manager and Communications Director to help shape the voice of You42. You will coordinate with artists and producers on promoting their projects, including videos, music, films, and podcasts, for our overall marketing efforts. You will also create and curate new content, track campaign analytics, and keep up with trends and new social platforms to continually improve You42’s social media presence. The ideal candidate will have a track-record of building highly-effective organic campaigns on multiple platforms.

Duties and responsibilities

• Create a Strategy – Establish goals for all social media channels and create strategies for brand recognition, growth, and engagement.
• Work with Internal Teams – Coordinate with Marketing and Communications to help craft and distribute consistent, on-point messaging. Own the communications strategies for all social media channels, partnering with the editing team to create organic content and new social media series.
• Manage Day-to-Day Activity – Plan, produce, and schedule regular posts, write copy, respond to comments/messages, monitor engagement, and results on social media efforts and strategies.
• Brand Marketing – Understand and identify on-brand content to ensure everything that’s posted aligns with our You42 community.
• Keep Up with Current Trends – Make recommendations and adjustments based on the ever changing trends in social media to ensure that You42 is always up-to-date across all social channels.

Qualifications

• 3 – 6 years experience in social media marketing
• Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills
• Experience developing strategies across multiple social media channels
• Extensive experience managing social media platforms (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok) for marketing purposes
• Expertise in social media trends and best practices
• Some video editing experience
• Knowledge of social media analytics and ing tools
• Self-starter who can set goals and execute on multiple projects
• Ability to work with teams across multiple departments
• Keen attention to detail
• Time and project management skills
• Previous experience in a creative industry preferred
• Photoshop knowledge is a plus

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $2,000.00 – $2,200.00 per month

• 4 hour shift
