Here’s three more things we think you should know:
You’ll play a key role in driving the future of Yorkshire Housing
You can work where, when and how you want with our Hub, Home & Roam approach.
It’s a role with meaning, so you’ll be making a real difference to colleagues’ experience at work and to thousands of customers’ lives with what you do.
So, what’s working in the People Team as a Business Partner all about then?
We have big ambitions in the People Team, and to achieve them we need people who are up for the challenge! As a HR Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in being the face of the People Team for your business areas. You’ll help design and deliver people plans which will help the business deliver our ambitious growth plans and you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in and lead on projects which will help us deliver our People and Culture Strategy.
Building trusting relationships, providing valuable insights and bringing innovative ideas and solutions will be just a few ways in which you can help shape the future of Yorkshire Housing.
You’ll bring bags of passion for all things people, be curious and have experience of working with and influencing at a head of service and director level, but don’t worry about housing experience, we can teach you that bit!
And what about us?
You might think of Yorkshire Housing as ‘just’ a housing provider, but we’re so much more than that. Yes, we own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and make it possible for current and future customers to have a place they’re proud to call home, but we’re also all about making a positive difference in people’s lives. We’re transforming our business by investing in people, processes and technology to deliver a consistently great experience for our customers.
The stuff that sets you apart?
You’ll be an experienced HR professional with a successful record of partnering with senior leaders in a fast-paced environment. Your experience will be extensive in employee relations and employment law with demonstrable evidence of managing complex ER issues.
You’ll also have experience of organisation and job design along with supporting talent and succession reviews. You’ll have also used data for meaningful insight and be able to demonstrate how this work has positively impacted results.
Personally, you’ll be naturally curious independent thinker, calm under pressure but prepared to push boundaries along with being a strong team-person with positive influencing skills. When establishing trusted professional relationships, this will come naturally to you and you’ll also be great at managing expectations with customers. Working at pace and collaboratively will be something you are used to and you’ll absolutely demonstrate a strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
Pssst. One of our values is ‘Be Yourself’. We’re passionate about inclusion and we’d love to hear from people from diverse backgrounds for this role.
What’s in it for you?
In return we offer £42,962.63 for a 35 hour week with 25 days annual leave (raising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.
We also provide a fantastic reward package to suit everyone – a variety of amazing discounts via PerkBox, a great Healthcare cash plan called Health Shield and a contributory pension scheme where we will match your contributions up to 9%! As well as our great benefits and a fantastic work environment, we’re absolutely a company that cares about its employees and its customers.
We promote a flexible working culture, as long as these fit in around the needs of your role. So you don’t need to take a day off to do that parent child reading class or take your pet to the vets or to do both! But talk it over with your manager, to make sure it fits in around what you need to do and meet business needs.
The Finer Print
This role will close on Wednesday 7th December 2022 but if we get lots of fab applications we may close sooner, with 1st stage interviews to take place on Monday 12th December 2022 (in the morning to be specific!).
If you are applying for this role internally you must inform your current line manager. This is agile homeworking position, but you will need to travel for face-to-face training and collaboration regularly.
Full requirements are included on the attached role profile.
