The Team
Library and Learning Services supports learning and teaching across the University through the development, maintenance, and discovery of the University’s library collections and also through engagement with students to develop their academic and digital skills. The service also supports the University’s research activity through provision of the University’s research output and research data repositories.
The Role
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, pro-active individual to the post of Systems Librarian. Working with teams across Library and Learning Services, your focus will be to manage and enhance the range of systems which support library services. The role will involve the day-to-day maintenance, integration, and management of a range of library systems across multiple platforms. As a Library Systems specialist you will be expected to take full responsibility for overseeing the support, management, and development of all library systems.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate will have technical expertise to support and develop library systems as well as an understanding of the impact these systems have on the end user experience. Essential to this role is a collaborative working approach and an excellent customer service ethos. We are keen to continue to improve our ways of working and the successful candidate will make a significant contribution to this process.
