Reporting to: Commercial Finance Manager

Pay Band: £48,000 – £52,000 (depending of skills and experience)

Position Overview

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager this role supports the financial preparation of financial close and management for both the UK and Ireland markets, supporting in delivering the month-end results along with financial planning activities and Group reporting.

The role will also closely partner with our Marketing Teams in UK and Ireland in managing the marketing budgets.

A high degree of a business partnership, entrepreneurial spirit and a learning mindset will be critical in this ‘start-up like’ and highly autonomous environment.

Key Responsibilities for both UK and Ireland

• Monthly and annual financial reporting duties, journals, accruals, and reports.
• Contribute towards the monthly Commercial Finance Reporting Pack for A&CP, OPEX analysis, headcount analysis
• A&CP analysis and business partnering with the Marketing teams
• SG&A analysis and business partnering with other departments
• Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting process
• Ensure critical month-end activities are delivered on time and to a high level of accuracy
• Reporting to Group on a timely basis
• Ad hoc reporting
• In collaboration with the Marketing teams, managing the A&CP Budgets for Both UK and Ireland
• The ongoing development of and maintenance of the BI tool, and its application within both the Finance team and the wider business
• Data quality and improvement projects across the Finance group

Position Criteria

Skills:

• Proven experience as a Finance Analyst or working within a busy finance function 2/3 years
• FMCG experience desirable
• Part Qualified/Qualified Finance Qualification
• Knowledge of management accounting techniques
• Exceptional in use of Excel modelling
• Detailed ERP system knowledge/experience – SAP

Other:

• Be comfortable dealing with and working through issues and operational challenges with project teams and other stakeholders
• Investigating at a granular level to ensure understanding of the drivers of the business and can provide insight to the non-finance members
• Capable of managing multiple demands on a varied workload, in a changing business environment
• Able to challenge the status quo where there is a lack of logic

Salary Range: £48,000 – £52,000 depending on skills and experience.
