We are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join our UK Finance team. Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be a key business partner to the global Marketing & Creative teams who are responsible for the implementation of online and offline marketing to drive business results for our brands as well day-to-day accounting responsibilities and month end reporting process.

Loc ation: our Head office in Westfield, London, W12.

You might need to visit our Distribution Centre in London, SE7 from time to time when Covid restrictions have eased.

Reporting into: Finance Manager

Here is a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:

• Review of costs and preparation of month end journals for Marketing & Creative cost centres

• Analyse variances against budget for the above departments, communicating this information to the wider stakeholders of the business

• Prepare month end cost centre packs and summaries for use in the wider business, commenting on monthly performance and variances to budget/forecast

• Support Financial Planning and Analysis when creating the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts for Marketing & Creative

• Attend monthly FP&A trade reviews to gather commercial insight into business activities

• Lead monthly cost centre meetings to understand performance and drive improvements

• Action requests from cost centre meetings including additional reports, recodes, and intercompany recharges

• Prepare monthly reconciliations for selected balance sheet accounts summarising the financial position

• Work as part of the wider finance team assisting other department including Accounts Payable, Treasury, Taxation, and Finance Systems

• Create store credits and gift vouchers in line with internal controls guidelines

• Lead, performance manage, and develop an Accounts Assistant to deliver business objectives

• Provide daily support to the wider business for all financial related queries relating to Marketing & Creative offering independent, objective, and practical advice

• Provide analysis and financial advice as required to support decision-making and monitoring of financial performance as required by the Head of Financial Accounting

• Support with internal and external audit requests

The type of person we are looking for

• Recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

• Experience of working in e-commerce/luxury retail and/or with Marketing departments would be advantageous

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build good relationships with financial and operational management across the business

• Ability to be flexible in a changing environment and work to strict deadlines

• Excellent eye for detail and organisational skills

• Ability to work hard as part of a growing and changing team

• Proactive and demonstrable ability to show initiative to constantly improve finance processes

• Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects with competing demands at the same time

• Strong Excel skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Navision would be an advantage
