If hired for this position you will play a critical role in recruiting great talent and become the employer of choice for a mission-driven organization like the Y. You will be responsible to research, develop and implement creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified candidates. Responsibilities include working collaboratively with organizational teams to conduct workforce planning, as well as monitoring and developing onboarding and recruitment procedures that celebrate and promote organizational culture, values, DEI objectives, and business goals. This position is an integral part of our organization’s success.

In this position you will be able to use your skills for:

Talent Acquisition:

• Serve as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies that result in client satisfaction. Develop effective relationships within the organization and the hiring managers to have influence and impact the recruiting process and hiring.
• Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
• Develop robust organizational recruiting and onboarding strategies that focus on filling vacancies with diverse quality talents from both internal and external to YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties. Strategies must include building pipelines for future growth.
• Develop, initiate and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion, and succession planning.
• Collect, analyze and maintain data gathered to inform targeted leadership development (e.g., succession planning).
• Conduct workforce planning activities that identify emerging employment trends and propose creative and effective ideas for finding the best talent taking into account future growth.
• Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
• Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
• Partner with the Learning and Development Team and operational teams to ensure proper onboarding and training of new hires.
• Recruit for executive-level associates and other professional-level positions as needed.
• Manage and develop external partnerships with colleges, community partners, job boards, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and other recruiting-related vendors.
• Work with the Marketing Team to develop recruiting campaigns designed for specific openings and general enhancement of YPKC as an employer of choice.
• Prepare and review annual recruitment budget.
• Act as an advisor to stakeholders as the recruiting subject matter expert (SME) on market trends, recruiting metrics, operational processes, systems, and tools.
• Measure key recruitment metrics, hiring goals, (i.e., source of hire, time-to-hire, throughput, etc.) to ensure the recruitment team’s processes are efficient, effective, best-in-class, and prepare reports and presentations reflective of this data.
• Build strong relationships with hiring managers, to understand and support their current and future hiring needs based on their goals.
• Create, teach, and foster diversity and inclusion best practices in all aspects of selection, assessment, hiring, and onboarding.
