Yeovil College is an inclusive tertiary college serving local communities through the campus in Yeovil. It has enjoyed outstanding achievement rates in recent years, it is the highest performing College in Somerset for 16-18 achievement, with a forecast annual turnover for 2020 – 2021 of c.£18.5m and an Ofsted outcome of Good. Since the last inspection the College continues to make strong progress with significant pace and energy towards the goal of an ‘Outstanding’ outcome at the next inspection.
The management and wider college team have uncompromising ambition for learners to maximise their potential with a clear vision and ‘road map’ for the journey to Outstanding. The Vice Principal will be engaging, creative, entrepreneurial and visionary; someone who will inspire our brilliant learners, lead our committed team and work with our ambitious governing body. Expectations and standards are exceptionally high as well providing strategic direction for the College’s development, delivery and quality of provision, further building the capability of our managers for our learners and community to succeed.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful delivery of strategic objectives at a senior level and will demonstrate a good understanding of educational issues, and will be able to hit the ground running.
