Yellowstone Academy Hiring for Teacher – Special Education Job at Billings, MT Full Time

Yellowstone Academy (YA) is seeking qualified Special Education teachers dedicated to working with a diverse student population in need of consistency, structure, and social/emotional/behavioral support. YA serves a residential population of students from throughout the United Stated and a day school population from surrounding school districts. The ideal candidate will work as part of a team to develop lesson plans, implement curriculum, and monitor progress of students in a self-contained Special Education setting. We are looking for candidates that are as passionate about the growth and development of children in our care as we are! If you can maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized, this job is for you! Because we offer year round schooling, summer employment opportunities are also available.

Yellowstone Academy has a school wide enrollment of around 130 youth. The number of students in the classroom varies, but is kept to 12 or lower. All high school courses follow accreditation standards and credits for coursework are transferred back to students’ home districts through Yellowstone Academy.

Candidates with a Montana Teaching Certificate in other areas and who are interested in pursuing a Special Education endorsement, are encouraged to apply. This position has a flexible start date, but is needed by or before August 2022. We also run a trimester schedule with optional summer work that is paid separately at a rate of $30/hour.
