Job Description
The Opportunity
To provide efficient and effective accounts payable and/or receivable functions that meets the needs of Council and its customers.
Key Accountabilities
Within the area of responsibility, this role is required to:

- Timely and accurate issue of Council’s debtor invoices and statements.
- Reconciliation of Council’s bank accounts to the general ledger.
- Reconciliation of sundry debtor accounts against the general ledger.
- Receive invoices, verify details, maximise discounts and process for payment within the agreed settlement period.
- Ensure all invoices are duly authorised by persons with suitable Council delegation prior to processing payment.
- Ensure compliance with the current GST legislation.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
- Ability to utilise computerised accounting systems.
- A current class “C” driver’s licence.

Conditions
This is a full-time position on a term contract until 30 June 2023, with a nine-day fortnight.
